The actual setup
Channel 4's commission describes Ethan, Abi and Sam as university friends whose stalled London lives are disrupted when their landlord sells their shared home. It is a six-episode, half-hour comedy produced by A24, with Mounia Akl directing and Zadie Smith narrating.
