The new report says Peacock has greenlit a Fast & Furious series with a 2028 target. A title, cast, production start and exact release date were not supplied in the material reviewed.
Not the same as Fast Forever
Fast Forever remains the next theatrical film, previously dated for March 17, 2028. The Peacock project is a television extension, so the two dates and formats should not be collapsed into one production.
How it fits the larger slate
Vin Diesel previously discussed four Fast & Furious television projects for Peacock. The new greenlight gives one part of that broader plan a firmer status, but it does not by itself confirm that all four series are ordered.
