The new disc
Shochiku schedules Return to Silent Hill for December 23 in Japan. The 106-minute release includes Japanese dubbing and a short trailer bonus, and is priced at ¥6,270 including tax in the reported listing.
Two films return
The 2006 Silent Hill and 2012 Silent Hill: Revelation Blu-rays, previously out of print in Japan, are due back on the same date. Each reissue also includes a Japanese-language track.
The Japanese release context
Christophe Gans' Silent Hill 2 adaptation opened in US theaters in January 2026 but did not receive a Japanese theatrical run. It became available there through Prime Video in May, making this the first reported Japanese physical edition.
